When we decided to move to the Eugene area, we were looking for a town with a great University. We knew that we would have access to wonderful cultural events, many ammenities (restraunts, theaters, shopping, recreational venues), sports teams we could enjoy watching and supporting, and Eugene has proven to far exceed our highest expectations!

The recreational opportunities are second to none! This is the only University in America with a river that runs through the campus! Known as "Track Town USA" we are all gearing up for the Olympic Trials this summer. Did you know that there are more running trails in Eugene than in any city in America? The skiing is fabulous at Mt Bachelor and surrounding mountains, less than an hour from downtown. The McKenzie River is beyond beautiful and cayakers love this swift river, they are not the only ones, fishermen think they have found paradise. There are beautiful rivers and lakes within minutes of Eugene for all to enjoy. Camping, boating, hiking, hunting, and ofcourse all of the winter sports are available and appreciated by our community and it's guests.

You have nerver experienced College Football until you have experienced
"Duck" Football at Autzen Stadium! It is a thrill to be a part of a community
that supports the TEAM like the greater Eugene/Springfield are does. Game day is the culmination of the total dedication of the team, the University, the community and all of the alumni, you can feel the excitment and sense of pride. You don't have to be a sports fanitic to be a proud supporter of "Duck" Athletics!
